POSITION: MARKETING / DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
The sole employee responsible for grant income and marketing tactics. Developed new grant income while maintaining existing grants and donors through strategic reporting and grant submissions. Used digital marketing, social media, eblast, and collaboration with local news media to engage donors and subscribers as well as educate the community.

CHALLENGES: Expand scholarship program for disadvantaged, at-risk children to pursue a classical music education.
Significantly increase budget with charitable giving after major donor leaves. 
Manage grants (research, applications, contracts, and reports) totaling 60% of non-profit budget.

RESULTS: Boosted annual grant income by 35%, or $260,000 with new grants alone.

Secured press features on local news outlets PIX11, Brooklyn12 and FOX5 as well as the website Hello Beautiful.
Media Training Program
Innovated training for students in articulating their experience and needs in interviews. 
Professionally filmed classrooms to offer press quality B-roll.
New Measurable Outcomes
Drafted extensive new grant proposal language, detailing new measurable outcomes and digital metrics.
