Producer, Performer, Host
Transit Museum Stunt
Leveraged media savvy: I leaked an unauthorized subway performance, resulting in coverage from DNA Info and the New York Times, which led to a cease and desist letter from the MTA.
Created a loophole: I pitched and secured a commission for my subway themed performance from New York Transit Museum. I then applied, and won, for a community engagement grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council.
Incorporated audience participation: Using crowdsourced stories, I translated real life subway experiences into a 30 minute dance, recruiting people of all ages and backgrounds to dance in historic subway cars.
Pitched new story: I updated local press about how I overcame being banned and am now bringing communities together through dance.
